Kamrupi Lokogeet is very
popular form of Assamese folk music rooted from ancient Kamrup district. These
songs expresses common people's emotions and thoghts beautifully through
multiple variants. Some of the variants are Khelar geet, Biya geet etc. Primary
Kamrupi Lokogeet are devotional songs influenced by Vaishnab culture and tells
about dedicating oneself towards Lord Krisna.

of the instruments used in Kamrupi Lokogeet.
